Water Simulation for Cinema 4D Tutorial
So we really wanted to release a good water simulation tutorial and have been planning on doing one for a few months. We wanted to do it in x-particles but WE LOVE it, so do other people when you don’t need 3rd party plugins to do something for you. So thanks to blender we can export an abc file and render via Octane & Cinema 4D. Yes this combo can finally do spray and foam without the need for the powerhouse beast Houdini.
In these two short videos, you can do your first REALISTIC water simulation:

New Freebie Instore
We made a vdb cloud for you to use in whatever you like absolutely free of charge. It’s quite nice too.
You will have to look round and find the link your self as we hope you might bump into something else too (cheeky).

An Introduction to our Packs
Lots of people get confused with our products and rightly so. Why are we the only people doing the Pay once for a pack and get free textures if we update or add to that pack?
Think of it this way, Quixel you pay £18-21/month but get access to 10-30 High-quality textures. With us catch it early pay £5.50 for around 5-10 textures and then if we upgrade the pack, you have paid £5.50 for 30 textures. So they are almost like baby subscription services though you only pay once.
So far on our VFX Hut journey, Bricked Volume 1 started its life with 10 textures, we updated it twice and now it has 20 textures. Surface Imperfections Volume 1 was released and has since been updated 3 times, which gave people who had already bought it another 4 new textures.
So we are updating them very slowly admittedly but from the get-go its priced right and then it’s a bonus if we add extra stuff to the packs.
We are currently looking into ways we could do the same for our VDB volumes however there are cost/bandwidth problems for us whilst we are still in our early stages.

Isle of Man Rock Collection Out Now
We had the luxury to visit Isle of Man last year and did a few texture scans whilst we were there. They can all be bought individually or as part of a ever-expanding pack which can be found here:
